Batter Up!

Ethan had his first t-ball practice this week. He loved it, he had no clue what was going on, but neither did any of the other kids, so it's OK. He knew he got a pretty nice hat (with a cool Indian on it), he knew a couple his school buddies were there to play with him. He knew he had a glove but wasn't totally sure how or why you have to wear it. But that didn't matter he got to hit a ball with a bat and run around and talk to his buddies. Oh to be 4! Their coach is a saint, so patient and encouraging. Luckily coach had a lot of help from the dad's for this practice, otherwise it would've been like trying to herd cats, as Alex phrased it.

Coach and the little "Indians"

Kneeling on second ensures a faster take off to third right? Acutally he was just doing what his buddy Joseph was doing.

Still on second...

Hey batter batter!

Saaawiiinggg Batter!

Manning 3rd with some help from Dad...

Watching these little "Indians" play ball is quite HILARIOUS! Myself and a couple other moms on the bleachers were cracking up! These guys would tackle each other to get the ball, run the bases with the ball, run the bases when it wasn't there turn, keep the ball, wear each other's gloves, stand on the base rather than beside it, swing and miss, swing and miss, swing and miss, swing and miss, and swing and miss (you get the idea). But they didn't care one bit and had an awesome time! Can't wait to see what the "season" brings...Oh the hilarity will ensue!
